Shahbaz Bhatti assassinated: Thank you, Deep State!

Related: LUBP Archive on Shahbaz Bhatti

Federal Minister for minority affairs, Shahbaz Bhatti has been killed in the I-8/3 area of Islamabad by two unidentified gunmen who shot at him and fled the scene on a car.

After Benazir Bhutto and Salmaan Taseer, the Deep State and its Jihadi subsidiaries have been successful in eliminating yet another leader of the PPP trying to bring some sense to the Islamic Republic of Nonsense.

We also consider the right wing and pseudo liberal proxies of the Deep State/establishment as complict in this dastardly act; the former  for incitment and the latter for obfuscating the issues surrounding the murder of Shaheed Shahbaz Bhatti.  Both are essentially anti-democracy pressure groups that want to settle their scores with the current weakened democratic dispensation.   These two groups, really two sides of the same coin, have a strong presence in the media, NGOs, judiciary-bureaucracy, and have provided a platform to the foot soldiers of Jihadi and Sectarian organizations.

Shaheed Bhatti’s only crime was that:

1. He was a leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party and a voice of a religiously and ethnically tolerant and inclusive Pakistan .

2. He was a Christian.

3. He boldly voiced his support for Asiya Bibi and all the other victims of terrorism by the Sipah-e-Sahaba, Lashkar Jhangvi,  Lashkar-e-Taiba and other Wahhabi-Deobandi proxies of the Deep state.

4. In stark comparison to the shallow self promoting slogans and tactics by a fake civil society and the pseudo-liberal supportes of the establishment, he was practically active in support of Asiya Bibi and other victims of religious intolerance.

5. He was a loyal and committed supporter of President Asif Zardari, co-chairman of the PPP.

Of course, the above five crimes were sufficient in this land of the pure to activate the purifying operatives of the Deep State .

It may be noted that the murder took place in Islamabad ’s sector I-8 which also ‘happens to be’ the ISI officers’ residential colony.

Here is how the civilian proxies of the Deep State are spinning the story:

The Jamaat-e-Islami connection: Royal News (TV) bureau chief Zaffar Hashmi is speculating live on tv about Shaheed Shahbaz Bhatti’s murder as a plot to distract attention from Raymond Davis. It is however a known fact that Royal News itself is funded by Jamaat-e-Islami and thus ISI.

Blaming the Victim: Pakistan ’s chattering elite (Fake Civil Society) and their Right wing counterparts have already started maligning PPP after the murder of yet another PPP leader. Shame has no limits!

While right wing (Jamaat-e-Islami) proxies are terming the murder as a ploy to distract attention from the Raymond Davis case,  the pseudo-“liberal” writers are not any better. This is what Cyril Almeida wrote (via Twitter):

PPP thought surrendering to extremist demands would help. It doesn’t.

Really, Mr. Almeida? You think khakis and their proxies kill those who surrender!!

The Deep State continues to protects Jihadi-sectarian organizations like LeT, SSP, JeM, HuJI and LeJ.  While the UN has declared Hafiz Saeed as a terrorist, Pakistan’s Jihadi Judiciary has  freed him to hold rallies & give interviews  and share the stage with prominent right-wing media don,  Majeed Nizami and the senior leadership of PML N and PTI;  Imran Khan’s ISI-backed political party.

In spite of dossiers of evidence, especially in the wake of the Mumbai attacks, the Supreme court freed Hafiz Saeed on the basis of “insufficient evidence”; an understanding that does not apply to the lynching of the PPP leadership.  This is the same judiciary and its establishment backers like Aitzaz Ahsan, which is considered sacred by many of the pseudo-liberal members of Pakistan ’s Fake Civil Society.

The only segment that Pakistan ’s chattering elites love to crucify is the PPP.  They do this because they lack the moral integrity and the courage to every call out the actual perpetrators, backers and supporters of Pakistan ’s Jihadi factories.  Furthermore the financial interests of this group are tied in with the Deep State . The PPP-lead government hurts the financial corruption of their NGO businesses,  where some NGOs profit financially from highlighting the miseries of the downtrodden without really doing anything of substance for them.

Any decent activists within these civil society groups are quickly co-opted by pro-establishment opportunists, who use the murder of PPP victims of Islamofascism to malign other anti-establishment PPP leaders.

Why is it only the PPP and ANP who are ‘chosen’ to be killed by the right wing proxies of the state and then their own parties are maligned by the liberal proxies of  Pakistan’s fake civil society!

The right wing Jamaat-e-Islam spin is that this murder is a CIA/PPP plot to distract from Raymond Davis; the fake civil society line is that he was murdered because  PPP surrendered to the mullahs. Both the right wing and pseudo left-liberals are carefully obscuring the role of the Deep State ;

Both dishonest narratives are fatal for Pakistan and its people

As a friend noted (via Twitter): A killer had been put in Salmaan Taseer’s securty detail and Shahbaz Bhatti had no guards. Both these strategies have been conspired by the same mindset.

In his endeavors for the poor and downtrodden, Shaheed Shahbaz Bhatti made 11 August as national minorities day, increased salaries of minority workers, boldy condemned violence against them.  Anything that he and his government could achieve, they did.

Shaheed Shahbaz Bhatti knew the threat well, so did Shaheed Taseer and so did Shaheed Mohtarma.  Which other party has such brave people except ANP?

All media persons (from right wing and fake liberal wing) seem to be in step with the GHQ and are responsible for the murder of yet another PPP leader.  All PPP-phobes will celebrate today as yet another day of victory.  This is a loss for Pakistan and its people.

PPP supporters, be careful. Don’t let the right wing and the fake liberal left proxies of the GHQ hijack yet another martyred leader of PPP to promote ‘their’ own agenda.

Today, all those who are still carefully ignoring the role of the establishment in creating and fostering the Jihadi cancer that is consuming Pakistan itself, have declared their agenda.  In attacking and blaming the victim while studiously ignoring the actual perpetrators, these apologists have shown their hand yet again!

……..

A sample of what the  “Good” Taliban of Generals Kayani and Pasha leave in  their trail on the murder site.

Pamphlets were reportedly dropped at the ambush site by the Tehrik-i-Taliban Punjab.
