Asif Zardari’s silent revolution in Pakistan – by Hamid Akhtar


In the following article, veteran writer and columnist Hamid Akthar explains how Asif Zardari and the current government of the PPP are responsible for a silent revolution in Pakistan which is based on tolerance, reconciliation and democracy.

While traits such as tolerance, non-persecution of political opponents, and freedom of speech and media have been invariably absent in ALL previous governments in Pakistan, the current regime has demonstrated in the last three years its true commitment, in letter and spirit, to a new era of reconciliation.
