On 4 January 2011, Governor of Pakistan’s Punjab Province Salman Taseer was brutally murdered by a religious fanatic who had been systematically brainwashed by a group of mullahs, journalists, politicians, lawyers and other members of Pakistani’s violent right wing (a numerical but very noisy and influential minority in Pakistan).

The killer operative, a police guard namely Malik Mumtaz Qadri, had been convinced that Salman Taseer is a blasphemous to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Before Salman Taseer’s murder, a number of violence inciting measures were taken by Pakistan’s Islamofascists including but not limited to the following:

1. Issuance of Fatwa of Salman Taseer’s apostasy and murder;
2. Violence inciting, fact twisting and misrepresenting campaign in Pakistan’s electronic and print media;
3. Systematic alliance of a particular political party (PML-N) in Punjab with a violent sectarian group (Sipah-e-Sahaba / Lashkar-e-Jhangavi)
4. Violent statements by a group of lawyers associated with the Jamaat-e-Islami, Tehreek-e-Insaf, JUI, JUP and PML-N
5. Announcement of reward on Aasia bib’s and Salman Taseer’s murder
6. Violent protests across various cities in Pakistan

After the brutal murder of Salman Taseer in Islamabad, several Islamofascists (mullahs, media persons, lawyers, politicians etc) have publicly endorsed his murder, praised his killer as a champion of Islam and/or tried to justify the murder by placing the blame on Salman Taseer or the PPP.

UPDATE: We want to thank our readers and appreciate their suggestions which we are adding below. We request all like-minded fellow bloggers to send us more info, links and names so that this list gets stronger.

Babar Awan: Shame on you for offering tacit support to the Blasphemy Law. The PPP does not need you, you need the PPP! This is the time for the PPP to declare itself a SECULAR party and dedicate the removal of all Islamist content starting with the Objectives Resolution to the 2nd Amendment, the Blasphemy law and all the other dictator-inserted ordinances from the Constitution. So Babar, if you cannot thoroughly cleanse yourself of your Ziaist past, GET LOST!

Imran Khan: The Douche bag Islamopatriot Bully of Taliban Apologia: His CNN interview where he linked Taseer’s murder to the UN sanctioned NATO presence of Afghanistan is another example of his dishonest, prejudiced and selective analysis and his clear task of deflecting attention away from the Islamofascists. Not once in his interview does he talk about the concerted efforts by the establishent to strenghten the Islamists and release terrorists

Farhat Hashmi: Her Islamofascist currents revealed in Asra Nomani’s article in Salon

Hamid Mir: President of Taliban Union of Journalists (PTUJ), killer of Khalid Khwaja, asset of the ISI and the MI

The Judiciary:

Justice Khawaja Sharif: His bigoted remarks against the Hindus, the likes of which provide nourishment and support to the Islamofascists

Lahore High Court: Staying a possible pardon by President Zardari

CJ Iftikhar Chaudhry: His anti-secular remarks that have created a haven for laws like the Blasphemy Laws (“Parliament with Unlimited Powers can secularize state” (Source: DAWN,Monday August 16, 2010)
