She said that such holy events promote peace and demote those elements that create situation of angst and instability through terrorism and extremism.

Ms Ispahani said that all men are born equal therefore meting out equal treatment to all can effectively resolve our numerous social and religious problems. According to Farahnaz Ispahani, all prophets were Allah’s emissaries bringing the message of peace, love and brotherhood. She said that no religion on the surface of this earth encourages its followers to pursue violence or bloodshed or desecrate holy places sacred to other religions.

For a peaceful and progressive Pakistan it is the need of the hour for the followers of every religion and sect to set aside all personal biases and religious differences and work for the betterment of our ill-fated human society, which has become the greatest victim of religious intolerance around the globe, Ispahani insisted.

Ms Ispahani said that the scourge of terrorism is affecting all Pakistanis and we must be united to combat it.

Ms Ispahani in her message has asked all Pakistanis especially the political parties to continue to uphold the rights of the Christians and other minorities in our country emphasizing that minorities must be treated in accordance with the constitutional provisions whereby all citizens of the state should be considered equal and allowed to actively participate in its development.

The closing words of Farahnaz Ispahani’s message plead the Christian community to pray for peace in the country as only peace can ensure a secure, stable and progressive Pakistan.
